Dr Neil Gordon is the CEO and medical director of INTERVENT International, a global population health management company. Dr Gordon obtained his MD and a PhD in exercise physiology in Johannesburg, South Africa. He relocated to the United States in 1987 and obtained a master's degree in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles. In 1997, Dr Gordon founded the INTERVENT lifestyle management and chronic disease risk reduction programmes which have now been used by over two million participants. He has authored over 120 published scientific manuscripts, eight books and numerous scientific abstracts in the area of preventive medicine and chronic disease management. Dr Gordon has a current faculty appointment as Visiting Professor, School of Therapeutic Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
